About Laura Buzard, Founder
My mission is to help my clients unlock and protect
their family memories through photo and archive management.
I grew up in Rochester, NY, often called the birthplace of amateur photography, where Kodak made it possible for everyday people to capture their memories on film. One-hour photo processing shacks were as common as corner stores, and taking pictures was an act of faith—you’d snap the shot, rewind the roll, and wait (sometimes for days!) to see if you had actually captured the moment you hoped for.
As a Gen Xer, my personal photo history spans just about every format—from boxes of childhood slides to envelopes of prints from my youth to thousands of digital images scattered across old hard drives, SD cards, and cloud accounts.
But it wasn’t until I learned how a rogue tornado in Indiana destroyed most of the photos from my maternal grandmother’s side of the family that I truly understood how fragile these memories are—and how important it is to protect them.
A Passion for Storytelling and Visual Design
Storytelling has always been at the heart of my work. From my early days in journalism to running a retail store where I designed custom photo gifts like lockets and books, I've spent over 20 years managing visual assets.
I’ve led creative teams in developing and curating imagery for jigsaw puzzles and other products sold at Barnes & Noble and beyond. My love of color and composition plays a huge role in how I approach design, ensuring that every image selection and layout enhances the emotional impact of the story being told.
With a background in graphic and product design, I understand how to blend aesthetics with functionality. Whether I’m fine-tuning the details of a product that will sit on a retail shelf or carefully restoring an old photograph, my attention to detail ensures that every project is both visually compelling and deeply meaningful.
Preserving What Matters Most
Now, I bring that expertise to photo and archive management. Whether I’m helping an organization document its brand history and assets or guiding a family through curating a collection of treasured photos, my focus is always on preserving what matters most. I believe that every image tells a story—and I’m here to make sure those stories are beautifully preserved for generations to come.
What is Family?
A family is made up of the people who shape our lives with love, support, and shared history.
Families include those we are born into, those we choose, and those who choose us —spanning generations, cultures, identities, and experiences. More than just names and dates, families are quilts stitched from connection, care, and the stories we create together.
At Treasured Photo Solutions, we honor diverse histories, identities, and experiences, ensuring that every story has a place in the narrative.
We understand that working with family images and archives can be deeply emotional — photos of loved ones who are no longer with us can bring both comfort and bittersweet memories.
That’s why we create a safe, caring, and collaborative environment, guiding you through the process with empathy and respect.
Through thoughtful curation and storytelling, we craft archives that reflect the richness of every family and organization, preserving memories for generations to come.
